Gardtec 300/500 Series - En Error Code

Hi

I found you site through google search, hoping someone here can help me.

I have a Gardtec alarm which I have had since 2002, I had it maintained yearly with the company that installed except this year when I cannot get hold of them so can only assume they have gone bust! I am not sure which model I have, I just have the booklet which doesn't list the error code I am getting.

I have had various error codes the last couple of months, I arranged for another alarm fitter to fix, which initially he did but after a week the error codes came back and unable to use yet again. Called the alarm fitter back again and he checked again but could not find what was causing the error and he reset again. A week later same problem, called him back yet again he still could not figure out what was causing the problem and reset again and guess what a week later another error code. I am unable to use the alarm and would like to sort this out asap.

The latest error code says EN, which I assume means it needs an engineer, which I have tried several times to no avail. I have also tried ringing Gardiner Technology but didn't really get much help from them except to maybe use one of their alarm engineers or get a new system.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Thanks

En means it needs an engineer reset, normally reserved for systems that are monitored for police-calling (but not always).

Your system needs a thorough inspection and service to resolve whatever is causing this problem and it seems that this has been beyond the wit of the person you called in - check the list of installers in the Manchester area that use this site - you should probably ask them to remove the requirement for engineer reset so that you can reset it yourself when a problem occurs.
