MattBaker Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 Too many sounders for the panel to support? Right there Oxo Psu required i bet, and relay the sounders through it, and check what the panel is pulling to.
Adi Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 if your installing it to domestic fire regs then you need 72hrs back up I really can't be ar**** with it anymore.
Chorlton Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 Wont get a big enough battery in the panel just drill some holes in the bottom of the panel, extend the leads and cable tie or velcro a 18ah on, lol
Adi Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 always over complicating things mr c, just sit the battery on the floor I really can't be ar**** with it anymore.
TheEnforcer Posted May 28, 2009 Author Posted May 28, 2009 Probably only talking about putting in 2 or 3 Pyronix Dual Sounders - is that enough to be worrying about the amount of draw?
james.wilson Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 yes If you look at what each one drwas when in full alarm, ie strobe and all, then compare that to your panel current output (- the keypad, panel itself and a few sensors) you will see why you may be in overload. Id say in sab mode it will be too much for it. securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.

So with 1.4A on top of the standing draw of PCB, RKP's etc Im guessing it will probably be over. Im not sure what the output capability of the PSU on the Galaxy 500 Panel is ? What could be my next move ?
james.wilson Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 if you have a 1A oine then its 1A max. securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
TheEnforcer Posted May 28, 2009 Author Posted May 28, 2009 if you have a 1A oine then its 1A max. If I add a Smart PSU to the system would that work ? That way I can also add in a further battery ?
