UPS?

CCTV?

is it that comman then?

with CCTv DVR's (and Telephone PABX's as it happens), fitting a UPS to the DVR is a very very wise precaution for what they cost, if not looking for massive long standbye times.

reduces the instances of locking up especially on the cheaper kits, due to usually superior filtering, but also hiccups caused from short local disconnections by the power co.

Used to be a necessity on the older units.

Kicker was sites with backup generators. Genny kicks in, Hard Drives stuffed. Intellex were very susceptible.
