gernoonan19 Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 Hi, Im having a problem with my texecom veritas excel alarm, I had builders in and they cut my alarm cable in the attic that goes from my control panel to my bell box, so Ive re pulled new cable from the control panel to the bell box, anyway, my tamper light is on and its beeping 9 times on the keypad and Ive checked all the fuses and they are all ok, when I done an extented walking test and press the omit button the letter "B" came up as the tamper fault so I tested the strobe and bell in the programme menu and none of them are working, Ive made a temp connect on the sab B and D and S and D and both the strobe and bell work, but they wont work when the alarm goes off. do you think the pcb in the bell box has blown or is it something else, Id appreciate any help Regards Ger.

If you have connected it all back up and it doesnt work then yes id suggest there is something wrong either wih the wiring or the panel. Its possible the sab has been damaged, but its more likly to be the panel. But are you sure its connected 100% right? Can you not call the people that broke it? securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.

Guest Oxo Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 Good answer a fuse may look intact when it is indeed "blown" You do have a test meter to hand ?

James QFA though I would go for plan B (2) especially as the builders are paying for it.
gernoonan19 Posted May 21, 2010 Author Posted May 21, 2010 how are you testing the fuses? Hi IAS, Im checking it with a steinel multicheck 3 test meter, i took out the fuses and touched each end and the red light lit up to show the fuse hasn't blown. ger.
