All I'm asking for is the manual to get hold of the settings.

Just need the manual.

( As i have been asking for all along ).

What I don't understand is this:

You have been asking for a manual for this camera and yes we have all heard what you are saying (repeated many times) but nobody has stepped up and offered you a manual.

Hi there,

I am in need of a manual for a National Electronics Richardson X-dome.

Unit is of Chinese (?) origin, date stamp 2002.

Info on dipswitchsettings / complete manual very wellcome.

Anyone ?

If you can take a picture of any more Chinese writing on the dome I will see if I can find out who makes it for you, then getting a manual would be easier.

The Chinese writing under the Dip Switches reads from left to right:

“address code”, “Protocol” and “baud rate”

cheers,

Paul.

OK Paul, now we're getting somewhere, thanks.

However, after dismantling the dome a bit further I only find some Chinese sign followed by the,

I presume, serial number, photo attached.

Furthermore, on the mainboard there's some id from the manufacturer (?),please have a look.

Offcourse I allready Googled that one, no luck ( so far ).

( Not specific enough ).

ADI sold them, how is it possible no one recognises the model ?

Thanks !

Oxford, Hi there,

Just wondered, what did the moderator alter on your last post ?

PM me please.

Oh my God, 1 point down, into the red zone.

Old Boy's network, be humble or you'll get kicked.

Nothing new, works that way on fora, most of the time.

Hi.

I don't recognise the Company name at all and I presume its an abbreviation.

I have asked a few Contacts in China if they know but currently all came back with a blank.

If you post any further clues I will gladly have a look at it for you.

The only other method of solution is if anyone in the trade on here recognises the DIP switch layout as they may be the same as another “re-branded” PTZ. Although there is no certainty the item is in working state even if you find the correct DIP switch combinations!

As the dome is eight years old there is an argument that it is not economic to spend much of your time or money on getting it going as the technology now is much improved in PTZ equipment.

Paul.

i'm not prying, as SQ above, do you know the dome is actually worker? could be a lot of effort for nought otherwise. if a recovery, and the dvr is still in place can you get to it to see the settings?

if still no joy, and i know pain but sometimes there's a point you reach when any further effort is just not viable, if doing for a client none of us are supermen (i do a good lady ga ga though), and best sell him a new one imo

Arfur
