A-G
I quite like the idea of this being in public it does show us (who are brave enough to use our own name and company logo) with warts and all. So where's your company logo? . . . PM me for access to the SSAIB members discussion area.
IAS
. Aaron its good that you would sell and install as you should, very commendable, I like to think that I would be the same. But the badge doesn't force you do it right, it just checks that you do it right. Its also a point of arbitration for the customer if things go wrong, there is no utopia and what I mean by that is there is no perfect solution so you should pick the best solution you can get. I quite like the idea of this being in public it does show us (who are brave enough to use our own name and company logo) with warts and all. thats the mistake everybodies made all the way through this thread, and apologies to Alan as he really is in the dark. the NSI simply check your doing what you SAY you do. PeterJames
So where's your company logo? Its the big purple eye thing, I havent been arsed to write Wakefield Security underneath it this time
arfur mo
I reckon I would look squeaky clean, but I would be pissed off that all my good selling tips have been broadcast to my competitors. This is quite a strange scenario Arfur defending the approved company's actions and myself condoning them, but I believe in ethics I dont try to force people into spending money they may not be able to afford on the chance that they may be burgled simple as. We have seen the statistics on life expectancy on pensioners that have suffered a burglary, now lets see the stats for pensioners that are burgled? what do you reckon it is Arfur 1 in 100 ? 1 in 1000? 1 in 100,000? To make a statement as bold as the one on DR's website you need to provide the full facts otherwise how can anyone make a fully informed decision? I believe that NSI and SSAIB have let us down regarding this matter, in the respect that the company is advertising inaccuracies, and other matters mentioned in this topic, Direct Response are only members of these organisations so that they can sell Police response and as far as I can see no other reason. agreed , for me especially, defending NSI/SSAIB should run deeply against the grain, i just dislike unfair accusations in any debate. imo they serve only cloud the true issue's and/or wrong doings and allow an enemy to fluster their way out of answering to the real content. Arfur . thats the mistake everybodies made all the way through this thread, and apologies to Alan as he really is in the dark. the NSI simply check your doing what you SAY you do. and when do they do that exactly? Arfur //the point of this thread// Its the big purple eye thing, I havent been arsed to write Wakefield Security underneath it this time Peter, don't fret Arfur //it would make your replies to long anyway! // If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!! PeterJames
agreed , for me especially, defending NSI/SSAIB should run deeply against the grain, i just dislike unfair accusations in any debate. imo they serve only cloud the true issue's and/or wrong doings and allow an enemy to fluster their way out of answering to the real content. Arfur and when do they do that exactly? Arfur //the point of this thread// Peter, don't fret Arfur //it would make your replies to long anyway! // So now say something that has a point
arfur mo
So now say something that has a point needle! Arfur Its not ethical though, who's to say the Mr Hook himself equally has not shortened pensioners life with the worry of finding the finance to fund the alarm system. do you have statistics to support your assumptions/theory? You're more likely to die by crossing the road than by flying but youll never hear BA selling tickets using scare tactics to keep people in the air Peter, tbf i readily admit i don't have any scientific case studies to support my following theory, but its just imo you/me tend to cross the road a bit more often than you/i fly, so i could i safely assume this makes the risk of dying by being fattened by a car, higher than being squished in a plan accident? Arfur . thats the mistake everybodies made all the way through this thread, and apologies to Alan as he really is in the dark. the NSI simply check your doing what you SAY you do. so as long as they check - they don't have to do bugger all anything else just so glad we cleared that 'dark' area of mine up folks Arfur If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!! PeterJames
needle! Arfur LOL very funny! Pete do you have statistics to support your assumptions/theory? Peter, tbf i readily admit i don't have any scientific case studies to support my following theory, but its just imo you/me tend to cross the road a bit more often than you/i fly, so i could i safely assume this makes the risk of dying by being fattened by a car, higher than being squished in a plan accident? Arfur What does TBF mean? I understand exactly your reasoning, but there is no excuse for selling by scaring people, would you condone the Kray twins for their methods of "insurance". If you need to use scare tactics to sell then there is something seriously wrong with your product and in Directs Response case its the price. Selling security is easy, the customer has phoned you in the 1st place so they already have an idea that they want to protect themselves, so there is no need imo to scare them into buying. Oh I dont have statistics for my theory, but it has been widely published that pensioners have died early because they had lost all their savings from being ripped off ( So you be careful Arf LOL!) Pete so as long as they check - they don't have to do bugger all anything else just so glad we cleared that 'dark' area of mine up folks Arfur As far as you can see they do nothing else, its like an employment contract you're not allowed to sack someone nowadays without a full investigation, if its not gross misconduct then you have to give verbal warnings then a final written warning, none of these are advertised in the local press. Just because you dont see anything happening it doesnt mean its not Pete Nice to see healthy debate is alive and well over here - only 6 posts on the topic elsewhere. QFA But I dont understand is there an elsewhere?? LOL
