Firstly when you find the cameras off do they have a seprate power supply. They probably have and this sounds like it is overheating. Check the voltage if it is safe to do as there will be 240 volts present. Let's get the cameras working first then worry about the rest.

You should get a voltage as described on the psu for instance 13.75 VDC or 24.50 VDC. Or 240AC

IR cameras? try leaving one disconnected in case psu probs as oxo suggests. might be one cam in particular taking more than the rest, or psu can no longer keep up.

Thank you all for the tips , now this is weird, all of a sudden the problem stopped . No idea why, just as I have no idea why the problem started in the first place, I even add another camera. The owner of the main shop told me he also found things switched off in the morning, maybe some power fluctuation during the night ?

Well... let's see what happen.

Thanks.

probably a heater dragging it down then as it's been mild lately.

I just got a reply from the co. that sells this unit (I'm in Australia):

"Hi , It's a bit difficult to diagnose the problem via email, but it sounds

like a Hard drive is failing and you may need to reload the software."

is that what your going to do?

I reply to them asking what that mean and I was 'showed the finger' ( No reply)

I might have to get a technician to have a look at it, for a few hundred dollars !

Just to come out they charge you $100 !

We'll see what happen.

Not an unknown for these units.

How do I 'reload the software' ? Does this 'thing' come with a disk ?

The guy that gave it to me to use lost whatever stuff it come with , including the password to exit to windows.

If I could acces the event viewer 'maybe' I could find a reason for this problem ?
