Map Security Posted July 9, 2010 Author Posted July 9, 2010 Many thx for a great response guys...... The DM unit is an old sprite that only works on pelco p...... Next problem is that the PTZ does not seem to like Pelco P 4800 bauds.. Oh fun and games
SUBS Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 Even with the BBV protocol converter, I think you still need a DM keypad to use the telemetry. If its the only functional dome, have you considered using a cheapo keypad, such as a Cop one, Not as expensive and will work Pelco D.

I did think about using a keyboard bUT there are other PTZ's running on pelco p 4800. I beleive the keypad is a DM unit ...Can these only use pelco p?
james.wilson Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 you will need a dm keyboard, but it will work with the dm unit, so will send the protocol as set per camera. The sprite does this not the keyboard. BUt you can use the software without a keyboard. securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.

If there are already domes on the system you'll know, I was just trying to point out that you cant cantrol them from the front of the Sprite.
