perkinogg Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 managed to put a duress code in my 816 panel when setting my alarm what is it is it the same as the 872 panel eg code is 4546 duress is 5546 is this the same on the gartec 816 because it does not tell you in the book thanks mark
A-G Posted July 11, 2010 Posted July 11, 2010 I'm not familiar with those panels so i can't answer your question ...... but duress was really only used on systems with Police response and that facility is no longer allowed on new systems by ACPO (Association of Chief Police Officers) rules, so we don't programme a duress code now. . . . PM me for access to the SSAIB members discussion area.
james.wilson Posted July 11, 2010 Posted July 11, 2010 It may be there as an option but as above it cant currently be used on police systems on anything but grade 4. But it can be used at any grade i think non police? didnt gardtec just reverse the last 2 digits? securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
IAS Posted July 11, 2010 Posted July 11, 2010 yes you add 1 to the first digit, often triggered in error by the way tags "auto" number themselves if you have the engineer code you can disable it under the panic menu. .
