Went to a large local'ish estate today to visit a friend & happened to look at the bungalow opposite. Got a bit of a shock when I looked at the roof, there sat just under the dormer window & attached to the roof tiles was the bell box for their security system. When I was dumb enough to enquire about it my mate informs me that this is the way the local Sparky fits his bell boxes, god help him on a 3 storey house. On the way back from the estate we were driving down the main street of a local town & noticed a bell box fitted by a local approved installer, fitted about a foot down from the barge board with the cable for it comming out under the roof slates & over the barge board down to the bell box :realmad: how the hell do they get away with it?.

Probably one of the systems they wont be taking their inspector to!! we have a company round here that only take their nsi inspector to systems that are pre checked by the director. no suprise that they boast A's on every inspection!!!

Saw an NSI Gold EWD fitted outside a shop this week "electronic alarms". The cable to the bell was protected in 25x16 YT2 mini trunking. Couldnt help thinking was it self adhesive.
