Brian Burt Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 I have just fitted an SD1 you only need the two wires that come into the house Line A and Line B you do not need the third which is a bell return for extensions. I have a exchange in the house so I just broke into the wires before the ntl box and spliced on a connection to A and B lines.
PSE Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 That will work but I certainly wouldnt recoment it at all, The (BT) NTE5 or (NTL/VIRGIN) CTE5 Master Sockets have a surge arrestor (26A) filter in it. In the event of a good surge or thunder & lightning storm you might possible end up looking for another dialler You should of taken it from the front plate, pins 2 & 5, before it goes to your exchange
