james.wilson Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 We are doing a quote and i am being informed by the client that another firm has quoted to use a wireless link between the digi and the control panel. I cant see this is accurate as i cant see it complies, ie standby times, fault reporting etc But i assume its a non compliant product. System requires police response. securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
Guest Oxo Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 How? Why? Never heard of it............! IP maybe, think Emizon with additional router?
arfur mo Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 U sure it's not digi line via Over mains adapter? See one being sold by either Maplin or Novatech, caught my interest to use as a possible option with hard wire phone line interface for gate imtercom etc Arfur. If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!
alterEGO Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 I cant see this is accurate as i cant see it complies When has that ever stoped them? Never heard of it either tbh. Why is the digi away from the panel anyway? or did you mean between the digi and the phoneline? if the latter it might just be a GPRS pruduct.
james.wilson Posted September 23, 2010 Author Posted September 23, 2010 The clients was quite clear on it as he doesn't want any wires anywhere not even a tel line. He said the communicator was being fitted by the master socket with the panel in a cupboard. I assume its a non approved Yale / alertme type product. We have quoted a wireless only redcare. securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
