Specialist Posted September 29, 2010 Author Posted September 29, 2010 What readings were taken? Would they have been enough to trace a fault? None listed on the Fault call out log sheets that I saw, readings on service sheets were usual stuff: Mains & Battery voltages, charging current & Loop resistances. Guest Oxo Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 Remember having one system with a FA only in the 3rd month of install ( fitted Sept iirc) DEC had a pir go mad. Suspected RF as the house was right next to Wandsworth Prison and assumed shift change overs were the problems.(RF)But as it was not from day it seemed too easy. Every check we did came back clean. Now I never did the installation and when chatting to the bloke who did there was a new skylight fitted to the kitchen, turned out low winter sun was giving the problem. How did I come to this assumption? All voltages were correct, put pir on soak and it failed. Closed alarm CCT and no problems. Reconnected pir and masked it. No problems. Fit quad, end of story. Now with a As Fitted drawing you can see that change. So progress has been made.
