Guest Oxo Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 Noooooooooooooooooooooo never plugs in plasterboard! Toggles or screw in metal inserts.
hpotter Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 A Co i once worked for used 3 x 8mm Rawl bolts for bells and it was a warning if you got found out using anything else. reminds me of afa. deeded them though, 8 flag cells hurt as much as the cauldron lid. dont have a problem with red plugs & inch 6 in p/bd for domestic quads (rx40), 8's tend to distort the case slightly & can foul the pcb. the metal twist-ins can be seen at the side, too unsightly for domestic imo.

Another trick when changing bell boxes is to ask ( obviously if its a painted wall) if they have any paint left and touch it up for them. After that you go home drowning in tea and biccys
hpotter Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 Not if yo go off centre a bit! goes against the grain, esp as both my legs are the same length
