wojnet Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 Hi, Me and my friend are interested in your job offer. Can you post more details about it. Pl I can also send you my and my collegue details including our experience and qualifications.
Timroth1 Posted December 1, 2010 Author Posted December 1, 2010 The reason I am posting this opportunity is that I believe that there are Security Technicians in the UK that may want to make the leap and travel to Australia. The Security Technician position involves mainly installing DAS and Clipsal products in new domestic houses. I will add links to the main products below. Then you can do your research and see if these are similar to products you have installed. MrHappy Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 and travel to Australia. might be a little far to commute.... Mr Veritas God
james.wilson Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 depends on the basic, and if you can claim travel or not. I like the fancy option. But call outs would have to be £2k+ and im unsure if the delay would be acceptable? securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
arfur mo Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 I'd be to old @61 to get in, but if you need instructors for training engineers in installing and servicing lace wiring, tube and wire frames, 999 machines and pressure pads - I'm your man . When alarm co's needed engineers back when I started (OMG), many were recruted from electrician ranks, enticed by a much higher pay scale than sparks. I'm curious, would an experienced security engineer emigrating, be likely to be able to command a better wage, given the skill shortage in Oz, As here they are not seemingly treated as anything 'special' in the pay scale rates. If so, be an angle to attract engineers with, as IMHO life style is a lot better than UK. Arfur If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!
thorg Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 To work in Australia as a security installer you need a security licence (police check),you need to provide 2 reference letters signed by trustees, Australia citizens only can vouch for you, who know you personally minimum 12 months and can vouch for your good character. I had to wait over 1 year to find trustees, and get reference letters, in NSW took me 6 weeks to get licence, in VIC 3 months waiting since i submitted application. Cabling licence is also required - few days training. I did trainings to install NX and GE Challenger but couldn't find a job easy, did few instalations, there was no jobs, but finally i install Foxtel and LAN's.
