TBH 90% of our G2 installs are almost G3 anyway if signalling is fitted.

We use standard kit (all of it G3) and connect mask on 95% of installs even at G2.

I am thinking of doing the same, pain in the asre carrying so much stock.

agreed but if certed to G2 its probably in time you wont be able to regrade it as the regs will change, ie sounder reg change coming.

But one thing that annoys the hell out of me is you cant use a honeywell antimask sensor on a honeywell G2 panel!

Agreed James thats why if its a new install with responce 99.9% of time we fit G3 - 48 etc. The Aux power rating on a Galaxy G2 is very poor thats why we fit a G3.

i dont know why other than screening or battery support issues, anyone would prefer a metal panel.

everyone else offers G3 for same money.

If battery support of the panel is the issue for using metal, why not use a monitored aux PSU where needed?

Keeps your stock of panels and spare PCB's minimal, and covers to all the standards then, but I wonder why do makes not offer a bigger plastic case?
