Guest Guest Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 have you messed with the keypad address at all? Not thay I know of or see how
Guest Guest Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 To good a panel to fry have a look at internal fuses better still (poss cheaper)get an Engineer in to have a look Changed the three internal glass 250v fuses now and the main on the non-swithed fused sour
Guest Guest Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 Back to basics, flylead the keypad at the panel. Also should be 13.5vdc at keypad +/- and 1 to 1.8 vdc on the data line. need to dig out s voltage tester see ehat showing up
Guest Oxo Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 No , you need to prove every component. Remove pirs from panel and all other devices. Then fit the keypad on a flylead. Power up and see what happens. I assume you know the engineers code and master user codes. PS Looking at fuses does not mean they work.

I changed all three fuses to be sure, only 1 looked blown but being I had about 10 of them I changed them all out. Yes I know all the codes. I will try removing the detectors and linking the keypad and see what happens. thanks for the replies.
9651 Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 Did you just cut and extend one cable? I.e you haven't extended two side by side (keypad and pir for instance?) and got them swapped over? This would possibly explain how the pir looks like its working (led picking you up) and the rkp is powering up, the feeds are probably the same colours (Red/Black) If not, fully down power the panel, and re-apply. Double check A/B connections, i have got them wrong in the past! Failing that, do the metre of cable on the end of the keypad wired direct off the panel as suggested above. We had an engineer adding a rio on a 2-44 a couple of weeks ago, rang me cos the rkp had locked up (any clues lol), turned out the big cap on the board had blown, god knows what he had done to that?!!!
james.wilson Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 another thing that might be possible (not clutching at straws at all) is that the panel has restaed with the kepyad removed. Thus removing it from the system. You might want to consider a panel restart if your 100% sure its connected. But as above i would connect the keypad onto a temp cable in the panel to test the equipment . securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
