alterEGO Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 as breff, the expander has its own software, nothing to do with wintex. You set all the wireless stuff up via the expander software, then just map them to the zones you want via engineer attributes. I'm doing one tomoz, i added a couple of local quads using the expander button and LED's, adding them to both the expander and panel at the same time. I'm going to be using the software for the other 20 odd tomorrow, but it looks like you can't add them to the panel at the same time as the expander if using the software (guessing), that seems to be the downside, that and the time the mesh takes to establish its self. I will have more idea after tomorrow.
james.wilson Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 Hangon then. THis bit of kit is like the old galaxy radio rio. YOu need to program the expander before you can program it from the panel? What happens when you want to replace the expander? securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.

What happens when you want to replace the expander? I don't like that side of it TBH, I'm guessing you can save all the info and upload. The one i'm doing is monitored, i'll post a few pics of the UDL etc. Nice idea but it is all a bit long winded, only useful for the bigger jobs i think, then again it can only do 32 wireless. I will hold back for now, not fair untill i have had a proper play.

james.wilson Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 what if you use it on the bigger prems? Does it do more then, or do you need a reciever per 32? securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
alterEGO Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 what if you use it on the bigger prems? Does it do more then, or do you need a reciever per 32? as far as i know it only works on 48-168 and they can only take one receiver no matter how big the panel.
