breff
it depends on software version of the panel, if above a certain version wireless devices can be learnt direct to the panel, if below they need to be learnt to the expander then the panel. 1 expander (32 devices) at present, but this will change The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct! (Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)
AdrianMealing
What Breff said, any version above 8.15 learns once via keypad, prior to that receiver first then panel. amealing@texe.com Head of Industry Affairs Visit Our Website Texecom
alterEGO
What Breff said, any version above 8.15 learns once via keypad, prior to that receiver first then panel. i thought you still had to use the button on the expander and the LEDs (or software)aswell as the panel in order get them to do it at the same time? ps: didn't get to that job today

Nope no need 8.15 or higher do it all from the panel, buttons and leds only for legacy stuff, check the expander manual page 11 & 12, you only need use the software or an engineers keypad if you want to change the device attributes. amealing@texe.com Head of Industry Affairs Visit Our Website Texecom
jmfoottit
Update Whilst Texecom support say the following has never been tested; You CAN connect a laptop directly to the 32xp-w using an RS232-TTL converter chip (£3) or Texecom pc-com (£20) and run the Richochet Monitor software. PC-IO (rs232) ---- RS232/TTL converter (or pc-com) ----- 32XP-W (Com1)
MrHappy
Whilst Texecom support say the following has never been tested; It won't have been test as they support their own products, there all sorts of lash ups personaly I have a very old lead which has 2nd connector for their defunct digi's & USB convertor If this is ever lost its cheaper to get a new £20 USBcom than spend the time making something Mr Veritas God
jmfoottit
The point was that Texecom couldn't confirm that pc-com would or would not work with Richochet Monitor. I just wanted to let people know that it DID work. The home made interface was just a bonus.
