Monty Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Hi we looked at a site today that had an old (maintenance eng thought about 15 years plus ) Minerva 16 E panel (ADT )is it a panel that is easy to get in to progg,get parts/manuals/software It has had a fault on it for years and now we want to alter upgrade system can the pushes loop/sounders be used with other panels EG Morly Zx1se or Advanced Mx4100 apollo proticall preferd or Hochiki if required or is the Minerva run on a closed protocol ! would it be cheaper to change has about 20 B/G 5/6 sounders/strobs www.AllanMoncrieffAlarms.com
norman Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Tell the customer ADT are promoting a Minerva buyback scheme that is worth looking into. Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.

If yout changing the panel i would just replace all the heads. Then you can use your prefered protocol. neil.c Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Tyco are dscounting about £5 perpoint with the buyback scheme, not much point on such a small system. I would go along with binning it and starting again.
