sparky999 Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Hello Pete - long time no etc.. Our price to our customer is no more than what it is for Apollo and we're competitive in that respect. A non-customer will get charged more,in the same way as not having an account with an online supplier incurrs a hiher cost as a "one time customer". My point was based on the company I work for. We service and maintain the fire systems in all the buildings owned by a local council. They have various manufacturers panels throughout their buildings. Most we can work on no problem, and the customer is very pleased with our response time. But several of their buildings have ADT systems in wich they then have to call in if equipment needs to be changed. Their prices are higher and their response time is very slow. P.S. yes it has been a long time no etc ........ Merry Christmas to you and yours Peter Robinson Freelance M:07889038650
Matt-B Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 You can download the software for the newer ADT MXZ panels from their website.
Matt-B Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Is that not just the data extractor for the existing config?? With the latest MZX panels they have made the Consys software available to all contractors or installers. This will do all systems and configurations (no need for to be involved at all) apart from networked systems where in fairness you do need to be trained and confident. There is also going to be an on line shop to buy the equipment without having to go to the hex.

hpotter Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 the danger if you go "too exclusive" is the one source of supply should you have a dispute you may loose your discount or credit terms & be unable to support in yrs to come, often "exclusive" means quirky, I prefer Apollo with controls not from ADI (or wherever) or if that one source decides not to support anymore. eg try getting heads for 10yo conventional menvier panels. btw, what is linus?
