james.wilson Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 my only issues with glass break are falase alarms and non detection. If the glass sound is changed, ie by bars behind window, or blinds are added etc, causes huge issues. DOnt like em, the one that worked best from my trials was the old sentrol units. securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
hpotter Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 If the glass sound is changed, its public so i'll just say many ways to change sound pattern from outside which also affects shocks. (talking about glass here)

sixwheeledbeast Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 anybody ever have issues with Break Glass dectectors activating by a bottles being thrown at a window and breaking....? Yes and fireworks around the 5th of November... Even DT ones, yet annoyingly keys/thumping the desk or a proper bgu tester will not activate them. One site the customer has got so fed up with false alarms (adj a nightclub) they have asked us to reconnect there foil on glass protection. Foil on glass now that doesn't false alarm. BGU's are not great IMO, they neither deter (like a viper) or 100% protect, why bother.
