james.wilson Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 The fire protection industry's registration body has been putting together new guidelines relating to the use of its logo. British Approvals for Fire Equipment (known as BAFE) has informed all companies registered with the body of the importance of displaying the correct logo. Some of BAFE's fire safety schemes include overseeing the manufacture and refurbishment of portable fire extinguishers and the manufacture of fire blankets. Any companies registered with the body must display the correct scheme number beneath its BAFE logo. The regulatory body is to send a CD to all of its companies, which will help inform the heads of the companies, as well as ensuring the printer will print the right logo and in the correct colour. In a letter to BAFE-registered companies, A J Maskens, the body's technical schemes manager, said the aims are to "further raise the awareness of BAFE and what it stands for whilst at the same time reducing fraudulent use." BAFE has asked all companies who use their logo to review its current usage in their literature. The logo itself has not changed. from securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
