peds Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Hi All would a blown fuse cause a blank panel i.e blank at top of panel yet bottom green light is on and it constantly beeps Regards peds
james.wilson Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 yes does it have a op line of ************ and if you press the escape key does it stop. In fact on a simple system thats more likly a data issue rather than a fuse issue. unless you have power suplies running the keypad. securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
peds Posted January 8, 2011 Author Posted January 8, 2011 hi james no panel is blank like theres no power going to it yet bottom left hand corner little green light flickering and a constant beep peds
james.wilson Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 does the esc key stop it beeing? if its blank and its a slow flash then its set and it has an ac issue. If its a fast flash then its a battery issue. but that assumes the data link is intact, which by the fact the keypad is flashing id say it is. securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.

norman Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 that's the next Q Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
peds Posted January 10, 2011 Author Posted January 10, 2011 replaced fuse and now have light on top of panel still beeping and not showing any letters or numbers
Technical-Systems-Ex Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 check 0 volt connection to keypad sounds like its very poor or no connection. Also best to connect keypad directly to panel on short cable disconnecting existing cable. blown Auxiliary fuse would cause completely dead keypad, no beeps or flickering lights. Sounds like bad or no 0 volt connection matey.. replaced fuse and now have light on top of panel still beeping and not showing any letters or numbers
