Guest Oxo Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 All do, generally everything is commissioned on the day of install. So a 14 day test gives the users time to get used to it. Hence stopping false alarms.
cmss Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 agreed you shouldnt be able to arm on the 'a' key only as that is non compliant at grade 2. Also if part setting the way you are then you should be suspending police response as that is also non compliant. While you were doing this there was only your and the wife in? no pets in the areas? you also should not be able to send a pa from the device you use for setting.... unless it uses dedicated buttons. Again non compliant. Might be worth checking with the engineer as i may be misunderstanding you. sounds like the dualcom is set up wrong ? might be ok with central station in day ie all pins normal 4 out stading . but when system sets it starts triggering alarms

Hence stopping false alarms. that was the logic used when originalyy brought in, thought it might have changed as todays detectors are far and away more reliable, where i have not done the alarm system but other works, alarm co seem to make them 'live' straight off. could be they 'block' it at the ARC if movement detector zone is transmitted they don't then Police, even on confirmed? Arfur If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!
