tgif Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 Hi, does someone know what is the purpose of the SET connector on Texecom AMDT Plus (and a few other ones) detector ? The installation instructions are somewhat terse: SET: 12v/No connection : detector is in the standby/unset mode 0v: detector is in the Alert/set mode According to my experiment, SET does the same thing as the RLED: it disables the leds when 0v is applied. Thank you in advances.
arfur mo Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 Being dual-tec and so having a microwave transmitter, you can disable the microwave to reduce any posdible health risks from mw radiation exposure (but like the mobile phone health scares). I don't know the detector so an 'educated' guess. Arfur If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!

MrHappy Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 depending on product, "set" may control one of more of led, mw, am or latch. Mr Veritas God

breff Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 There is an option on AMDT to disable anti mask when armed, I assume this is why there is a 'set' terminal The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct! (Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)
