Rulland Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 Main land Europe, we're the only ones who get screwed with Regs. and have them enforced. Yup-in all ways we get screwed!..........
9651 Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 I have no idea why anyone would use a veritas for a pro install, the LCD version is at best thrown together. We will only use 48 and up from texecom. However i will look at the 24 after the redesign and upgrade. For an audible job we tend to fit Scanny 9651 EN, cheap, graded, does the job. We were looking @ the excel, (can get them cheaper than the scannies, which we get a good deal on) we wont bother now! Out of interest, whats everybody else fit thats graded, for an A.O?

Hopefully will be better after the upgrade of the PCB.
9651 Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 They still not a bit pricey compared to a 9651? Unless we get them dirt cheap We do fit prem 24's/48's for Karizma + replacements only really Just think for an AO job thats got no more than 8 zones a 24 is slight overkill?.

Never asked but i always thought the excel price point was a bit higher then 9651. We use the Gardtec cp8l with 480 profile keypad. We don't fit many at all these days, if we were installing more bells only i think i would have a look at the euro mini.
sjsturner Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 I'd have a look at Rafiki again. I really rate it. oh james i thought you were so much better
james.wilson Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 lol i still do i like the twinflex but hate the look of the panel. But i love the quadnet and the flexibility. Can only speak as i find and i havnt had any issues wheres we have had issues with advanced and apollo etc. The savings and flexibility meant i had to look at it. We tested it couldnt find any issues, then went to site trial and it went well. So we started using it mainstream. I am waiting on the new firmware for new features but only for future flexability not needed those features yet. securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.

Never had serious problems with either tho. The worst bit about twinflex is the smoke bases. The number of earth faults from crushing the cables into bases. Apprentices!
MrHappy Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 having lots of probs with zeta panels at the mo.its control equipment discovery panels re badged! OMG they look tat with the blue legend on the front, I assume they run "zeta" heads rather anything else ? Mr Veritas God
