connor2425 Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 Had a power cut and batt dead, everything reprogrammed and ok but the system won't disarm with the code! Anyone any ideas?
connor2425 Posted January 30, 2011 Author Posted January 30, 2011 Just the codes was wiped, so reprogrammed the user code, got the acceptance code but won't deactivate
9651 Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 But nothing should be lost. Dont fit the Veritas, but surely it has a NVM to hold programming/codes etc? What lights are showing on the keypad?
connor2425 Posted January 30, 2011 Author Posted January 30, 2011 Everything seems to have held, sets etc but the user code wouldnt stop the sirens after the power cut. re entered the code and tried to disarm but wont?
PeterJames Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 Everything seems to have held, sets etc but the user code wouldnt stop the sirens after the power cut. re entered the code and tried to disarm but wont? So are you saying the bell continues to sound when system is set or unset?
connor2425 Posted January 30, 2011 Author Posted January 30, 2011 The system is working fine, just wont unset with code only code it will take to silence is the engineers
sjsturner Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 But nothing should be lost. Dont fit the Veritas, but surely it has a NVM to hold programming/codes etc? What lights are showing on the keypad? this is correct nothing should have changed. i would advise to make sure user code is master code. could you have defaulted it by accident?wont say how! The system is working fine, just wont unset with code only code it will take to silence is the engineers codes back to front?engineers should not unset system! try the default user code and see if that works!
sixwheeledbeast Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 The system is working fine, just wont unset with code only code it will take to silence is the engineers i know the veritas well, the engineers code and user codes sound backwards. It is the same function number to change either so can easily be done. The panel does have an NVM so shouldn't forget the codes, although have very rarely seen this happen. As sjsturner really.
arfur mo Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 Is there a 'set only' code on these panels? wondered has that mistake been made? Arfur If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!
