james.wilson Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 im sure they did re da. But its not common these days, in fact i dont know if a single rf smoke sensor that allows integration with an intruder alarm, that also has a built in sounder and can operate without a panel. securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.

CerbNI Posted February 7, 2011 Posted February 7, 2011 If a Grade C system has been specified under BS 5839:Part 6 then smokes as part of an intruder system will meet it,provided that the standby battery has been upgraded to give a minimum of 72 hours.

This what ive said many times over the years on here, but it falls on deaf ears ...or should that be blind eyes I really can't be ar**** with it anymore.
FGS_Alarms Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 Smokes on a burglar alarm is fine for a domestic installation. Certainly better than nothing! Just wish people would stop installing them right outside the kitchen door, then complain when they keep setting the system off!
