Guest Gordon Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 Hi Can anyone tell me if it is possible to programme a prox key to be able to set the alarm and unset it but not be able to silence it if it has been triggered? Seems a strange request but it doesn't make sense to me to have an item on my keyfob which could be used to silence the alarm if for instance someone broke into the house and the keys weren't hidden away, careless but it happens! Thanks Gordon
james.wilson Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 A galaxy could do that with links, but im sorry i dont know enough about the prems to suggest a work around securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
breff Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 can be done by locking fob with custom output 2a and custom output 2a could be set to alarm, therefore locking the fob in alarm. i wouldnt advise it though, if you set it off by accident you will have to wait 15 minutes The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct! (Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)
arfur mo Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 is it possible to have code + fob? not what i'd do personally, but if concerned about anyone being careless with fobs, it would be another layer to help counteract o/p's issue. imho just get a key cabinet, and batter anyone who leaves their keys on show. Arfur If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!
james.wilson Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 nice one breff thats how id of done it on a gal. Guest Gordon Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 Thanks Breff I'll read up on that in the morning. The fob holders will also know a code for another user anyway so should be able to reset alarm if it sounds. It'll probably never occur but better safe than sorry. Gordon
breff Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 And Alan, fob+code can be done by setting fob as 1 user code, and code as another and assigning them both the 'dual code' option The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct! (Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)
