AdrianMealing Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 And in addition most fingerprint scanners have a number of flaws, they work great when indoors for most people who are at a constant temperature, so in the main laptops not a problem, however when using in a security situation they are either outside or you have just come from outside to use it. So you finger is too cold, too hot, wet etc..... Also for some people from mainly Asian or African backgrounds they simply won't work in a secure manner, their fingerprint make up can be markedly different from you or I's and as such you end up adjusting the sensitivity so much that any sort of finger on the device will let you in. We have done quite a lot of research in this area and in my opinion at the moment they are simply not secure enough to use in well, a security system. amealing@texe.com Head of Industry Affairs Visit Our Website Texecom
