Have you checked for loose wiring/plug-on connections in the bell? Delete the bell and re-enroll it? If it's new it could be a faulty piezo.
dsazzer123 Posted March 12, 2011 Author Posted March 12, 2011 have checked inside the bell for what i can see is it only has the battery to plug in I have deleted end re-enroled it but nothing...

Is it a MCS730? There should be plug on connection for the piezo at the top. What are the jumper switches set to? I can't think of any settings, from default it should just work.
dsazzer123 Posted March 12, 2011 Author Posted March 12, 2011 yes mate it is the MCS730 the siren connection is plugged on and the jumpers are set to on which i gather is just for the strobe..
sixwheeledbeast Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 Keep Alive should be set to "off". Configuration should be set to "others" If jumpers not set correctly, delete the bell set the jumpers and re-enroll. After that wait 30 seconds then press and hold the "Self Test" button for 5 seconds. The bell should flash and sound for a second. If it only flashes I think the piezo is faulty.
itesecurity Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 There is nothing in the settings that will change anything. Go to diagnostics in the installer menu and test the bell. You could also set it to squawk on set/unset in the user menu, when you set/unset with the keyfob it should chirp. If no difference there is nothing you can do but take it back from whence it came i'm afraid.
