petrolhead Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 I was thinking of getting a cheap borescope off ebay, there are usb ones that plug into a netbook or laptop for about £30, I think they would be handy for looking inside walls and voids, anyone tried one?
breff Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 I was thinking of getting one of these while they are on promotion http://www.maplin.co.uk/flexible-snake-scope-camera-257206 The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct! (Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)

norman Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 I wish I was installing again, you young ones are spoilt, what's wrong with tapping plaster for joists and pipes and sing an old broken mirror. Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
sparky999 Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 Try one of these, free from your friendly Endoscopy Dept Peter Robinson Freelance M:07889038650
amilod Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 I have and use one of these, they work pretty well. I have my connected to a samsung netbook running windows xp. I also use a 5mtr usb extension cable with it, without problems. Hope this helps.
petrolhead Posted April 4, 2011 Author Posted April 4, 2011 Thanks for the replies, mine arrived today from dart systems, seems well made for £29 delivered. Wall mounting a plasma later this week so that will be a good chance to test it for looking inside walls.
