matthew.brough Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 Arf. I just think its a natural evolution of technology. Video or audio confirm is available to the masses. Noticed today in b&q that response have a diy system that sends images yo phones. Once that's installed diy user calls police themselves. Oh dear, no need for an arc or installer then . . . Price? www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/
Alarm Protection Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 Times change and nacoss/SSAIB have to accept this. Oh dear, no need for an arc or installer then . . .Price? !
matthew.brough Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 Times change and nacoss/SSAIB have to accept this. If times change too much and people buy your b&q special verification, what do you need NSI or SSAIB for? www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/
Alarm Protection Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 We should use an ARC then they can call police etc. With video verification now you should not need a URN imo. And companies should provide a certificate of what has been installed, not a tenner a time to the inspectors. Things need to change but there is to much money to lose from the people who have a hold on companies imo. We had one complaint about a CCTV job so all hell broke loose. All paperwork was done but mr inspector made a shambles out if the whole situation. On site our customer caught an intruder and he was detained but mr inspector still made a meal if the situation. Still cams were not right and he is going about with the lux metre spouting nonesense. It was all in the quote and customer signed of but he made us look like idiots saying " when I worked for Chubb blah blah" This whole inspectorate is a joke now and effecting companies going forward to the future which is all in one home automation. We have been involved with a company over the past year doing this and done right the money is good. !

If it wasn't for insurers being so uninterested and not having a scooby about the security industry both of those bodies would have been buried years ago.

And that's why they're both looking to diversify away from security into such things as networks. Well, it does involve wires so they must know what they are about surely?? Like they think that industry will give them the time of day.
