reidy Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 I hate RSD contacts they fail far to often for my liking. We have started fitting 2 x Guardall DT 15+ at each side of the shutter (with the mask connected as we only fit G3 Galaxy on monitored jobs) Our Fa rate is very low and we dont get stupid callouts to rotten RSD contacts. Even if the job is G2 we connect the mask on 99.9% of the detectors. QFA Quote Hey Ho, Lets Go
MrHappy Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 I thought the point of using door contacts is to ensure the site is secured before the sub leaves ? eg-- leave stock in the door way & return to nab once everyones gone home ? Quote Mr Veritas God

norman Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 ditto, to stop the setting procedure, also trap protection only leaves a higher probability of fa's Quote Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.

We use them on most RSC's now, seem to have much less trouble. Edited February 17, 2012 by alterEGO Quote

Many, many years ago I had a friend who worked for a company called Magnetic Shields. He used to give me 'off cuts' of one of their magnetic shields, they were like pieces of soft black cardboard about 4 or 5mm thick. I used to cut it to fit the size/shape of the magnet to be fitted and used that as the spacer, absolutely no problems, even the heaviest magnet would not 'stick' to the most solid metal door. Wish I still had access to this. Quote Someone told me I was ignorant and apathetic, I don't know what that means, nor do I care.

spike27 Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 sorry, which panel, what grade etc .......... and any chance of a drawing how you intend to do it? Just spotted this and whilst I'm sure this has been resolved by now our F10CMULTI (G2) is suitable to be wired two to a zone, as is our YF10C (G3).
