norman Posted August 7, 2004 Posted August 7, 2004 (I even use mine for sticking bits back on my car). Let me guess...Fiat Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
breff Posted August 7, 2004 Posted August 7, 2004 Rich, skirting boards only when theres solid wood floor down or laminate, and no other option The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct! (Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)
Guest dale Posted August 7, 2004 Posted August 7, 2004 With laminates there is normally a couple of centimetre cork gap under the skirting board, between the laminate boards and the wall (it's there to absorbe the wood when it expands and contracts) where you can stick a cable, just make sure the gap is big enough, bearing in mind the floor may expand! I tend to stick a cable either underneath the skirting board or under the cork.
Guest RICHL Posted August 8, 2004 Posted August 8, 2004 Rich, skirting boards only when theres solid wood floor down or laminate, and no other option Ah! We learn something every day!
neil.c Posted August 8, 2004 Posted August 8, 2004 I approach every installation as unique, you need to look at the construction of the building and the location of the devices you wish to fit. Making use of internal soil stacks, cupboards, boxed in central heating pipes, attached garages, the type of flooring and decoration. I find that the time spent at the start of a job assesing the location of the equipment and the cable runs is more than made up for in the finished job and time to install it.
