Pink_Floyd Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 Hi guys, The system used for my flat is a VIDEX 800 with 5 phones, one to each flat. Today we are all getting a high pitch wail on the phones, very like feedback. Any ideas on what this is and how to remedy?

Two potentiometers inside to adjust levels. (Speaking/Listening) Thats the first thing to check.

sixwheeledbeast Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 Any idea where they are located inside the unit? Blatantly obvious on the PCB inside. One has a picture of a loudspeaker (listening), the other a symbol for a microphone (speaking). Make sure only one headset is off the hook before starting.
Pink_Floyd Posted June 21, 2011 Author Posted June 21, 2011 Well bizarrely it has self-remedied? That said I did change both fuses on the system transformer as one looked dodgy. Thank you very much for taking the time out to reply
