Last inspection  was told they are ideally for cables across entry routes / fire escapes. funny how things change.

I think that would depend on what you are stapling into. Timber, fine but plaster board no.

Stapling is absolutely fine in the right medium, imo it looks far neater too.

Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
