Brev2000 Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 Hello peeps Just to let you know we had an issue the other day. RedCare/GSM system with Galaxy 2-44 (remote location domestic installation)been in for 3 years no problems. The other day we receive notification from our ARC that the site transmitted Fire, PA, Intruder and confirmed all within 3 seconds of each other. Dispatched an engineer immediately on arrival system fine no log entries customer informed first she knew about it was when Fire Brigade knocked on her door followed 45 mins later by the Police (she was not impressed with that). Contacted RedCare Tech Support who dialled in to unit verified that STU had indeed sent the transmissions but could'nt say why. Guessed that it must have been a "mains spike". Anyone had this before and any suggested solutions???? Brev
breff Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 I've had similar with digis when a fuse has blown, all signals sent then restored. A valuable lesson learnt about putting systems on test, it was me who blew the fuse, red face when the police turned up. The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct! (Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)
alterEGO Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 Had the same thing with a dualcom gprs on a menvier about 12 months ago. Nothing in log but as you say with redcare it was in the dualcom log. No reason i could find but got did i full upgrade and replaced dualcom just incase.

sixwheeledbeast Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 Yep. Had this quite a few times before some even do it again 12 months later. Had long discussions with all parties....
alterEGO Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 Not impressed that it took the Police 45mins to respond to a pa? could take a month if they wanted.
Joe Harris Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 Often the case if using a plug on - Question of polarity as I understand it. We refer to this type of sequence as 'Running up the pins'. An activation received from each hard wired channel with restores for each following. Yes it can occur after power loss but should not if correctly configured. Also ensure of course that you have common negative in such installs - Seen it forgotten on way too many occasions and I am no engineer. 'J
