Shieldsec Posted July 13, 2011 Posted July 13, 2011 Hi, Im having some trouble with galaxy 16, I got into engineer ok,and done some programming. But when trying to get out of engineer mode, pressing default code and esc, I get >=SET B=PART ENT=MENU goes to 01 TAMPER o/c [<] [>] to view enter gives me INTRUDER 07 Seem as if im not in engineer mode??, and setting it in enghineer works fine. Please help.. Sam
PeterJames Posted July 13, 2011 Posted July 13, 2011 Please don't post multiple posts asking the same question it only confuses the issue The panel wont let you out because you have a tamper fault zone 7 you need to clear the tamper it will then let you out
9651 Posted July 13, 2011 Posted July 13, 2011 setting it via engineer can be done as it overrides tampers. As said you have a tamper on zone 7 or its programmed incorrectly, ie you've enabled it when it should be spare. I take it you done do many gals as you could have checked via view circuits....?
Shieldsec Posted July 13, 2011 Author Posted July 13, 2011 Peter, sorry didnt know this question had already been answered. 9651, yeah, normally install gardtec. I thought circuit diagnostics was not available on galaxy 16, how to view if available? Thanks Sam
antinode Posted July 13, 2011 Posted July 13, 2011 Nah, the 8 and 16 plus are different beasts and don't have the usual Galaxy menu structure. There's no Display Zones on the 16. Trade Member
9651 Posted July 13, 2011 Posted July 13, 2011 really?! Hmmm cant say i've done loads of 16 classics..... seem to see more 18/60's, and i'm sure they do? How **** is that!? Nothing worse than a panel that wont display zones, especially in a commercial environment on a fault.....

Nothing worse than a panel that wont display zones, especially in a commercial environment on a fault..... 16 was never a good idea IMHO Microtec should have stuck with the 8-512 programing for the 16 I can't imagine what the R&D department were thinking with that one something like " I know let's make a panel that looks exactly the same as our other panels uses the same style keypads and cabinets ect, but let's make it completely different programming, just to give the engineers that service and install our products something to think about" I wonder how much money it cost to develop something completely new to what they had already, its not like there was a niche for a panel with 16 zones even if it was slightly cheaper
