daubs8 Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 Now I am getting some informed answers to other topics I have another! Cabling a dome camera on a canopy using Cat5. The run is all internal until it exits the building. It is then contained on the canopy ceiling in 20mm solid plastic tubing straight into the pendant mount. Anybody see any need to use duct grade Cat5??

Duct grade is basically damp proof. miaren Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 Nope, provided the conduit doesn't sag, and the cable is kept as dry as possible...ie its not going to be permanently sat in water. (wont hurt to put drip holes at the lowest points)
