I know cutbacks are hitting in but do you really think prison will turn to its own staff to start installing and maintaining their security systems?? and if they did - why ask the guy who can't work out a radio system?? the 2 guys who run our local hand car wash fit radio systems on the weekend for beer tokens!

I may have mentioned in the past my local prision had the bright idea after repeated break ins to self install a "RS Alarm" (rebranded A1 !) diy tat at an RS premium price.... Mr Veritas God

This is probably just the same. ie we look after and install our own networks, computers, electrics probably. The DIY world will only expand.
