Guest Gazzerdaman Posted July 21, 2003 Posted July 21, 2003 I have decided to install either one of these panels at my house, as they offer many more features than ADE Optima panels. These panels have seperate wards, and I would like to use these for my detached garage and house, so that it is almost like two seperate alarms. My question is, can you have a different entry exit time for the garage ward. So that you have time to park the car and disarm the alarm. Also how much can i expect to pay for these panels ? Thanks Gary
JB_ Posted July 21, 2003 Posted July 21, 2003 I'm 99.9% certain that its 1 set entry time for any ward you create, and the only ward programming you can do is assigning zones. Your probably looking at something like a Galaxy 60 for individual programming of timers, actually i do believe CSL have brought out a panel with such a thing, that also has 4 onboard zones on a keypad and 2 outputs. (probably why you wanted menvier i dare say) As for price i wouldn't have a clue, sorry.
Guest Adrian Posted July 21, 2003 Posted July 21, 2003 B) I think JB is right about the timer thing, I ran into this problem about 6 months ago. In the end the customer had a shunt lock assigned to that ward for entry. Or rather to unset and set without useing a code (a granny flat) The real good thing is you can asign the garage keypad and program the speaker in the garage to only sound in the garage, Great if you get home at 2 in the morning and don't want to dissturb the family. As for prices Menvier stuff is not cheap The list price for the TS790+ Is about £180.00 (10-16 zones using LECs or RKPs) The TS900+ is about £225.00 (10-56 zones using LECs, RKPs and NODES) These prices do not include the keypads, The LCD one is about £130.00 As you can tell when you work out what equipment you need this will add up to a very tidy sum. Do you realy need wards :?: Mevier make very good equipment I have a TS690ID in my home, I would recomend them to anyone that can afford one. I plan to upgrade my alarm to a TS900+ when finance permits Hope this helps a little Adrian B)
abbz Posted July 23, 2003 Posted July 23, 2003 on the menvier network range ie 690/790/900+ u can have 2 entry times ie one for full set ie code and 0 and one for part set entry. i have a ts900+ in my house with an additional keypad and 2 zones in the garage, ive set the garage as area c but the only annoying thing that i found is that when u enter the garage all keypads make entry noise, apart from that its been working fine coming to a year now. also would suggest that seeing u have a keypad in garage that u have 2 zones on it and a output, i found that wiring a bandit sounder to the keypad output works a treat as is only 70ma and keypad output gives u 100ma, save having a psu. also on a ts900+ if u go to eng menu 3,7,5 if gives u the option to set a part set banner so can type in garage alarm set etc so quick glance at keypad tells u whether its on or not. what may be another good point is to have a seperate code for the garage and programme code as part set c for instance so only unset/sets the garage and not the whole house, im using key fobs on mine and have had to programme them for the different areas as didnt want to unset garage when coming into house, if u need any further advice just say as there are a few things which u have to alter in eng 3,3 (code set groups)
