PeterJames Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Can anyone tell me the differeneces between the old DV IP machines and the new DV IP server? I need to set up one of the older DV IP machines to our ARC but can only find lituarure on the latest DV IP Server
breff Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 I think the software is very similar. Just remember hardwire to alarm inputs, then assign inputs to zones, then assign actions to zones. The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct! (Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)
PeterJames Posted September 28, 2011 Author Posted September 28, 2011 Glen Does the older unit use netvu or does it have its own sware?
breff Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Yeah, they are NetVu Connected, I went up to Daresbury and did a training course on them and the Analytics, 2 nights in a premier inn, oh what joy. The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct! (Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)
breff Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 And make sure you turn on remote reporting in the system-features menu, if you dont you wont see the menu for the ARC in the network menu The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct! (Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)

whistle Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Not sure James, keep thinking i must put it on Ebay but its been sat in our office for 5 months now.
breff Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Very clever machines, you can make cameras from another dvip be on the same system. eg. we have a system with a dvip at a gatehouse running anpr to open the gates and a ptz that automatically zooms in/out. this then connects to a directional wifi link and connects into the network at the customers house almost 1km away with a 10mb link. the ptz just appears seamlessly as another camera on the dvip in the house with full control The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct!
