andygodwin Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 hi all i have a Texecom Veritas Excel is there a way of having a sounder or chime when the front door has been left open by my teenager.. its wired up with the usual reed relay and magnet which forms the door EntryExit circuit..(its on its own zone) thanks andy
magpye Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 Simple, you're in my house, you play by my rules. (name) - don't forget to close the front door correctly when you go out. If you do, 1st offence, grounded next Friday night 2nd, grounded the next Friday & Saturday night 3rd, grounded.......... or worse My father asked / told me to do something the correct way, once, twice, NEVER a 3rd time. Didn't take many offences to get it right. Someone told me I was ignorant and apathetic, I don't know what that means, nor do I care.
sixwheeledbeast Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 is there a way of having a sounder or chime when the front door has been left open by my teenager No, not easily. That panel cannot provide that type of output. Chime feature will only trigger once for each time the door is opened.
miaren Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 It might not be the ideal solution, but considered a door closer?
sle101 Posted October 8, 2011 Posted October 8, 2011 Do later versions of texe have this feature - Like the prems? I like the idea of this feature
breff Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 If you used a premier, you could program an output to mimic a zone and connect it to a buzzer The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct! (Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)
MrHappy Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 Didn't take many offences to get it right. 0800 11 11 ? Mr Veritas God
james.wilson Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 id assume a prem could do this as a galaxy could (not the g2) securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
