Hi,

Having programmed for confirmed alarm, understood panel (Texecom Prem24) would alarm on successive triggers from two different zones within specified time window.

Problem is it occurs on two successive triggers from the same zone.

Is this normal operation or not - any advice?

Have you got enough detection per area to create a confirmed alarm?

You won't reduce the probably of getting false alarms by having the dialler on the confirmed output, just the possibility of it being reported (via the dialler)

To answer your question though, you should not be able to create a confirmed alarm by triggering the same zone twice. Have you checked the output programming, made sure its definitely setup as Confirmed?

Yes , there's the correct number to do that both in house and outbuildings.

The dialled numbers are chosen/changed so as to alert me and nobody else.

I've set it up to the best of my ability -

Arming Mode Options 2: 8, 'Confirm after entry' (I'm using key fob),

System Config: 18, 'SNDR=2nd Alarm' and 21, '2nd zone=confirm'

System will alarm either on two succesive triggers from one zone or from one trigger from each of two zones.

Nothing to do with Global Options: 'Exit Settle Time' or System Options: 'No of Rearms' I suppose?

Is the output programmed correctly, it sounds not.

Also note if the alarm is activated and the thief disables one detector every 30 minutes, you will never get a call.

It is better to buy good detection than double knock/confirm poor stuff.
