reidy Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 I'd put a site survey more towards quoting but I guess it could depending on the context Hey Ho, Lets Go

reidy Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 I reckon the odd muppet domestic might see it as a free visit but a survey is a survey at the end of the day Hey Ho, Lets Go
Vince8282 Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 The devil is in the detail! Small print in terms and conditions are notoriously full of stuff that people would never agree to if they took the time to read them. If people think anything is free they are deluding themselves. Everything has a cost. e.g. The cost of any "free" survey will be paid for in the cost of any resulting work and if no work is done the next customer or customers will cover the cost. The old method of the loss leader still works as it caters for and to the greed of people who want something for nothing. What is inferred by the receiver is not always what is implied by the offer but in this case diagnosis and survey are worlds apart. Practice in the morning, practice at night. Practice in the evening, until you get it right. Only make sure you are practising in the right way at the right time for it.
Scotmod Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 as per title does "free site survey" imply the sending of an engineer to diagnosis faults ? No, I would class that as a corrective maintenace callout and would charge them accordingly.
