morph Posted August 9, 2004 Posted August 9, 2004 Have you changed the door recently, have you checked the contact? Does the final exit indicator always show? Is there only a contact on the door or do you have a pir connected also. Have you checked all the devices, cleaned them, looked for spiders. Earlier in the year you changed the battery, have you been having power problems at night etc. but what do you mean by I beleive the battery on the Alarm is going off. Colin.
Guest Muhunthan Posted August 10, 2004 Posted August 10, 2004 1. No new doors fitted recently and all doors were there since the alarm was fitted 2. Final Exit Indicator is not on during normal time, i.e Day time. When the alarm went off second time I came down and checked the panel, and Final Exit indicator was on. Once resetted, it went off. All doors were locked 3. There is only contact on the door. 4. I have tried cleaning them after the first incident, and check for any insects around the door points when alarm went off second time. 5. Earlier in the year I changed the battery in the main control panel, but is there another battery in the external alarm...
norman Posted August 10, 2004 Posted August 10, 2004 Hi, If you feel confident enough replace the offending magnetic contact and ensure good alignment and minimum gap (ideally around 5mm) Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
