Oxo Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Lets see. Force them. That could lead to a claim against you for cancer in the long term. Ask the client to desist or the contract is finished. Obvious loss of revenue. Send a smoking employee. Sorted. Do a Remote service if your smoking employee is busy elsewhere. Sorted Urinate with the lid down. Then the husband/sons get the blame.
james.wilson Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 none work well for me when im the only smoker at work. Its a serious point though securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
goncall Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 i personally wouldnt have an issue but my concern is sending lads in to that environment. If one said i wont work there because they are smoking what should i do? i dont think you can much tbh james, but where do you draw the line, people smoke in public or factory smoking shelters,do you only take on non smoking customers,it then blends into other things,do you have ra's for engineers who disagree with relgion, what if a customer is one religon and the engineer is another, its h&s gone mad, common scence is required, you wont get cancer from a customer smoking next to you for a couple of hours..
james.wilson Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 id agree but im sure there are or will be implications long term. securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.

Oxo Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 All joking aside. An employee has the right to refuse to enter such a property. goncall, you a biologist ? They said asbestos was safe. They now say passive smoking is dangerous even for a short period. I dread to think the damage my wife and myself have caused on our children from our smoking. I stopped over ten years ago. Ex now almost a fully fledged Nurse with a degree still does. Now that is stupid.
