Mister_Dave
I have been asked to look at a job lot of 3 identical houses, So i decided now would be a change from the DIY type stuff i have been using. I have decided on the following . Panel : Guardall Pi8 Passives : optex RX 40s X 4 Sounder : Cqr ultima All other items will be standard fit eg mrs etc. Your views would be appreciated ( so tell me if its rubbish basically. ) Dave Oxendale York based security systems engineer. Guest Mduncan00
In my opinion if you are jumping from a diy job to a pro job i would start with an easy panel to install like the Pyronix Sterling 10, its easy to install & reliable. Ive never installed a Guardall Pi8 so i don't know too much. Optex PIR's are great, simple and very stable ive never had any problems. Guest dale
At the end of the day its up to you, but I agree with Sav, Texecom prem and excel gear is great. I think the Guardall is a bit ugly... the control panel aint that pretty!
Mister_Dave
well i have been installing veritas for ages so i thaught i would try something a little bit different eg pi8. But i might give the 9448 es a go instead. Sticking with the optexes though. What do you think. Dave Oxendale York based security systems engineer. TSS
we've just installed the 500th accenta/optima this year, only 1 panel fault so far so these get my vote! Pyronix Belle sounder also gets my vote, easy to fit very rarely go wrong! and quite cheap! If you want something a bit posher try the Ademco Galant, they keypad is a bit square but a very versatile panel! my advice is to avoid the eurosec, sterling 10 and guardall. Fit an up to date sounder, and read the instructions..... you never know what knowledge they can impart... If you fit an accenta/optima, read the default programming and wire the zones intelligently, as most of the time you only have about 4 programming changes to make! These are my choices for domestics, I like lots of others but these are my favourites (statistically) Detectors: Intellisense IS215, fit them like mad, love them! v cheap Pyronix ME12 are cheap too, reasonably reliable, use them for PJ's...you know, the ones we dont do? The new Pyronix pirs with blue leds are nice too James TSS Communication is "A question asked, and an Opinion given." I offer mine to help you with yours.
